ENHANCING AGRIBUSINESS ORIENTATION AND MANAGERIAL EFFECTIVENESS OF RURAL SERVICE CENTRE MANAGERS AND STAFF UNDER CORIP

November 23, 2015

CDC Consult Limited, under the Cocoa Rehabilitation and Intensification Programme (CORIP), has been tasked to provide capacity development training and coaching support to Rural Service Centres (RSCs) in selected regions of Ghana. The main objective of the assignment is to ensure that the established RSCs attain operational and financial sustainability to effectively and efficiently deliver a combination of services to cocoa farmers in a sustainable manner. The RSCs are expected to provide farmers with cost-efficient services relating to production, agronomy training and skills, information, agro-inputs (planting material, fertilizer, agro-chemicals), and other technical support services for improved cocoa production as well as community development support services for enhanced livelihoods. Each RSC is expected to cover about 2000 farmers who are expected to double or triple their current average yields of 400-450kg per hectare after receiving services through the RSCs.
